Haymarket and Waverley Station

Dunstane Hotels are located conveniently for Edinburgh's main train stations. They are less than half a mile from Haymarket station and little over 2 miles from Edinburgh Waverley station.

Edinburgh Waverley is Edinburgh's main train station and is located right in the heart of the city centre, next to the east end of Princes Street and St Andrew Square and the central bus station.

Edinburgh Waverley is the northern terminus of the East Coast Main Line to London and also the terminus of the Edinburgh branch of the West Coast Main Line, down through Birmingham to the South West, as far as Penzance. The station is also one of the cornerstones of the Scottish rail network. Edinburgh to Glasgow trains terminate here several times an hour, and there are lots of services to Fife, and onwards up the coast to Dundee and Aberdeen, as well as into the beautiful Scottish Highlands and Inverness.

To get to Waverley Station from either Dunstane Hotel is a short taxi journey or you can take the 12, 26, 31, 48 or 100 Lothian Buses as they all go along Princes Street. The 100 also goes to Edinburgh Airport (travelling in the opposite direction) and terminates on Waverley Bridge itself.

Haymarket is Edinburgh's second station, but most trains which enter or leave Edinburgh Waverley and head westbound stop here. It is very convenient for Dunstane, simply up the main road towards the centre of town. It can be reached on foot comfortably within 10 minutes. Alternatively you can get the same set of buses as go to Waverley.
